7/3 Bible Study Summary

John 15: 5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. He who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit; for apart from Me you can do nothing.”

John 15: 7 “If you abide in Me and My words abide in you, ask whatever you will, and it shall be done for you.”

In order for the Lord to abide in us, it is necessary to let His words abide in us. This is because the Lord is in His word and He Himself is the word. Praise the Lord that we have the Word that is so substantial, available, and practical! When we read the bible, the Spirit within us gives us a timely word for our particular case. The inner rhema always corresponds with the outer logos. Have you ever felt like you don’t know what you should pray about? If we read the Word, the Lord will be moving, acting, motivating, and energizing us to express him. What we speak will then be a real prayer in the spirit. This is the expression of the indwelling Christ speaking as the Spirit with His words.
